Our Silent Book Group now meets weekly! Adult readers are invited to bring a book of their choice for an hour of uninterrupted, dedicated and silent reading time. Participants are welcome to talk books before and after the reading time, or not. Meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Main Library.
The Branch Book Group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 1pm at our Branch location at 155 Wescott Rd.

Got food scraps? Don’t throw them away! Join Ecomaine at the Hinckley Park Community Garden on Friday, July 10th at 10:30am to learn all about food waste, composting and nature’s recycling system and one specific way compost can be created in small spaces with an up-close exploration of a red wiggler worm bin! (In the case of inclement weather, we’ll meet inside the Main Library in the Community Room).
Come read to Ferris the therapy cat at the Main Library! 15-minute time slots are available on Tuesday, July 14th starting at 3:30pm.
Recommended for children who are independent readers. Registration required – stop by the Children’s Room or call Youth Services at 207-767-7660 x3 to sign up!
Please note, Ferris is not a lap cat, and will likely be roaming a bit while being read to.
